
Towergate Charitable Foundation is a registered charity
(charity number
1117359), the purpose of which is to collect money raised by
Towergate Partnership and distribute it amongst the charities we
support.
Money collected from clients is passed to the charities after
deduction of the print and promotion costs. All other
Towergate Charitable Foundation costs are met by Towergate
Partnership.
The four main charities we are currently supporting include:

Help the Hospices, the national charity for the hospice
movement, provides support to hospices through training, grant-aid,
advice and national fundraising events.

Towergate has been in partnership with Cancer
Research UK since January 2008. CRUK is the UK's
leading charity dedicated to cancer research.

In January 2008 Towergate formed a partnership with ChildLine,
the free, 24-hour confidential helpline for children and young
people provided by the NSPCC.

Since Jan 2008, Towergate Charitable Foundation has been
supporting Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), the UK's leading
and best-loved children's hospital.

To help the Charities plan for their future funding
requirements, we have committed to a 3 year partnership with each
of the 4 main charities, aiming for a minimum support of
£100,000 per annum for each of them. Support levels for each of
the military charities has also been agreed.
Towergate Charitable Foundation also supports 7 military related charities for client donations
collected through Towergate Wilsons. These are:

- Combat Stress
- RAF Benevolent Fund (RAFBF)
- Army Benevolent Fund (ABF)
- Naval Families Federation (NNF)
- SSAFA - up to 31st

Special Grants Fund
In addition to providing significant funding for specific
projects agreed with our partner charities, Towergate Charitable
Foundation provides special grants to assist
a wide range of charities connected to our clients or
staff. Grants are not provided to any charity that spends
less than 80% of its income on the cause itself.
