Towergate Charitable Foundation is a registered charity
(charity number
1117359), the purpose of which is to collect money raised by
Towergate Partnership and distribute it amongst the charities we
support.
The four main charities we are currently supporting include:
- Help the Hospices
- Cancer Research UK
- Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH)
- ChildLine (a part of NSPCC)
Towergate Charitable Foundation also supports 6 military related
charities for client donations collected through Towergate Wilsons.
These are:
- British Limbless Ex-Servicemen’s Association
(BLESMA)
- Combat Stress
- RAF Benevolent Fund (RAFBF)
- Army Benevolent Fund (ABF)
- Naval Families Federation (NNF)
- SSAFA
To help the Charities plan for their future funding
requirements, we have committed to a 3 year partnership with each
of the 4 main charities, pledging a minimum support of
£100,000 in 2008 for each of them. Support level for each of
the six military charities has also been
agreed.
Special Grants Fund
In addition to providing significant funding for specific
projects agreed with our partner charities, Towergate Charitable
Foundation provides special grants to assist a wide range of
charities. Grants are not provided to any charity that spends less
than 80% of its income on the cause itself.
All Towergate Charitable Foundation costs are met by Towergate
Partnership and we have created a charity that is able to pass 100%
of funds raised to the cause without deduction of administration
expenses.
The Trustees of the Towergate Charity Foundation are: Peter Cullum, Andy Homer, Paul Dyer and Mel Sims
