On Sunday 5th October the Managing Director of
Towergate Risk Solutions Newcastle, Neil Forrest, together with
John Neill and Giles White completed the 13 mile Great North Run
from Newcastle to South Shields along with 50,000 other
contestants.
A total of £1,300 was raised in aid of St. Oswald’s Hospice and
whilst this was obviously the priority there was also a healthy
competition between the three of us.

Towergate Charitable Foundation will match the funds
raised.
We were all delighted to finish the race and
the newcomer Giles ran out the winner about 20 minutes ahead of the
pack (but then he again he is 10 years younger!).
