Anita Stacey ran and walked the Race for life in Tunbridge Wells
and raised £310 for the ground breaking Cancer Research UK project
run by Professor Adrian Harris. This research aims to stop tumours
from hijacking the blood supply. Professor Harris’s findings may
lead to new drugs that prevent tumours from forming their own blood
supply. This would starve cancer of the oxygen and nutrients
it needs to survive, and is one of the best chances we have of
stopping the growth and spread of many types of cancer

The project has benefited from Towergate
donations since 2008. As Cancer Research UK is a partner
charity, the donation will be doubled to £620 by the Towergate
Charitable Foundation.
