Towergate Risk Solutions Poole organised a Charity Golf Day and
added another £2368 in aid of Friends of Forest Holme, Cancer
Hospice, Poole. There were 19 teams of 4, which consisted of
various local businesses and tradesmen, from solicitors and
accountants to builders and carpet fitters.

Each team were given a goodie bag with a cuddly toy, golf balls,
sweets, bottle of water etc. It was a shot gun start (all tee
off the same time) at 10.00am and thankfully the weather held off
for us and the sun shone periodically.
Golf was followed by a two course meal, presentation and
raffle. The winners were a team of builders called Mixed
Pears (a long story) and I’m pictured with them collecting their
prize and trophies. David O’Callaghan’s team from TRS Fareham came
in 4th winning a bottle of wine each. We’ve
also had a winner’s plaque made for the Hospice for them to put in
their family room.

I have already been told my most of the teams that they will
definitely enter a team next year and we’ll get a lot more
sponsorship. The day raised £2368.00 for Forest Holme and obviously
this will hopefully increase every year!
