After 3 hours of the worst nightmare imaginable, I finally
crossed the finish line at a sprint! Well at least a jog.
I was hoping to be able to share with you a photo of me in the
“bog of doom” waist high in smelly ice cold watery mud, and that
wasn’t the worst! The “hills of hell” saw us climbing up 50 feet
cliffs of mud and sand, which left every muscle screaming with pain
at the top! Over 12 miles of mud and sand and hills!
I have to say that this is the hardest thing I have ever done.
I raised £425. The event was the Presidents Challenge (President
of the Hull Insurance Institute). I am Deputy this year, so was
“duty bound” to participate. Overall between 6 of us we have raised
over £2,000 for The Insurance Charities, Dove House Hospice, and
Case (another Hull charity).
