Towergate Risk Solutions Poole held a charity fashion show
on the 9th April 2008 at a local golf course (the venue was free).
Our Charity Champion in Poole, Jenny Chick arranged the show with
ladies clothing company, Travelling Trends. The objective was to
see if we could be super models for the night whilst helping our
local hospice Forest Holme.

Members of staff, friends and family agreed to be the said super
models, although some took more persuading than others - ok begging
may have come into it at one point! After the show, we held a
raffle, hence the picture of me on my knees collecting as much
money as I could.

The show was the first I'd ever done and what a fantastic night we
all had. The tickets for the show were £5.00 each and raffle
tickets sold at £1.00 a strip. This sum, together with the
commission from Travelling Trends on the clothes they sold, raised
just under £1,000 and cost us, nothing, other than a few raffle
prizes.

Anyone thinking of organising a show really should. So many people
have called and emailed me to say what a great time they had and
when will the next one be? Well, I'm hoping this will be an annual
event now, it's easy money.
