TRS Kirkcaldy held a fun fund raising barbecue on Saturday the
16th August in the back garden of our office in lovely Kirkcaldy.
We raised a total of £395 for Victoria Hospice - which will be
matched by the Towergate Charitable Foundation - making a
total of £790.
We asked for a £5 donation from everyone attending from our
local offices - Glasgow, Edinburgh, the three border offices
and ourselves.
Local businesses and staff donated prizes for the raffle - we
even got a signed copy of the Prime Minister’s book (Gordon Brown
has an office in our building) plus a signed bottle of whisky from
our local MP, Marilyn Livingston.

One of our client’s, McMillans, donated the sausages for the
Barbecue and Robert Young, donated the Burgers and rolls and
kindly paid for us to hire a bouncy castle for the day. Many of our
staff also brought in food.

Karen Downie, from Kirkcaldy Office, brought in face paints and
collected donations for face painting both adults and kids. This
was very successful as you will see from the attached photos
|
We also organised a treasure hunt for the kids around the
garden. I hid my son’s fake bugs around the garden and the person
who found the most received a goody bag prize.
It was quite hectic trying to organise it all especially since I
was getting married the following week. We were lucky having such a
sunny day and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. It was fantastic
for everyone to come together and raise funds for our Local
Hospice.
Thanks to everyone for their donations and help in organising
this event.
