The Towergate Risk Solutions Charity team presented
our Big Cheque for £3049.17 to Debra Dennett of Forest Holme on
15th Jan 2008.
We beat last year’s total by making Fund Raising for Forest
Holme part of our social calendar for 2007. I have listed below how
various members of the team contributed to the fund raising.
- Ann Popperwell – Arranged various events during the year
including the Virgin Vie Parties and donated different types of
crafts for sale.
- Stephanie Smith – Along with Susan Bryant raised over £270 with
their craft fare, selling items of handmade jewellery and
cards.
- Jenny Chick – Early in the year arranged a Bingo Night which
raised over £600 and had a sponsored bring your dog to work day and
various other fund raising bits and pieces.
- Sue Bailey-Churcher – Friday Fry-up – Cooked breakfast rolls
for everyone in the office for a reasonable price, sausages, bacon
and eggs in a bap etc all done on the George Foreman (and it was
probably the best we’d ever tasted).
- Julie & Trevor Irons – Christmas goodies – A variety of
cakes pies and pastries all home cooked and sold at a cost of 50p
each, again absolutely lovely!
- James McComish – He will be doing the London Marathon this year
in aid of Help the Hospice and also arranging a Race Night in
August.

As you all know we at Poole do our very best
in supporting our local hospice and have various things planned for
2008 and we hope we can do even better this year for such a well
deserved cause.
