Our staff having fun and doing good
Towergate Group believes in having fun and doing good in the
local community. It’s a win for the community but also a win for
Towergate and our people. Most of our colleagues live in the local
area so it’s good to improve things for them but it also means that
people want to work here as they see we care about their
community.
Charitable fund raising by colleagues is an important part of
what we do. Our Directors and staff have donated more than £1.3
million for great causes since 2005. This has helped us
raise more than £5.7 million with
the help of our clients and suppliers.
Each office has a Charity Champion who agrees with the local
Hospice/Charity what they want us to pay for and how they would
like our staff to help. Fundraising events are planned including
dress down days and a range of sponsored activities. The money
raised is paid directly the local Charity. Details of high profile
events are sent to the local press / media in order to encourage
other businesses to join with us in making a difference in the
local community.
Donating money
All offices support a main local cause in addition to fund
raising for high profile national causes e.g. Race for Life and
Comic Relief. It’s important for the staff to choose who they wish
to support and for the fundraising activity to be fun. Most
Towergate offices are twinned with a local Hospice as their main
local cause. Some offices have elected to support other local
charities.
